Population Pyramid
The Population Pyramid of Jamaica in the year 2010. Shows us many different factors. Firstly that the average age of death is low, possibly because of the lack of health care and hospitals. About 10 to 14 years ago (as of 2010) there was a there was a drop in the numbers of babies being born possibly due to the governments new 'two is better than too many' idea causing parents limit the amount of kids they have.
The two sides of the Pyramid are fairly even through the older section of the Pyramid (between 50-75) but it appears to be more elderly women to be lively compared to the males possibly because of lifestyle or because women are more likely to go see a doctor if they become sick. After the ages of 55 the rate of decline in numbers are steep again because of poor health care and hospital care avialbe
Throughout the whole Pyramid Females appear to be the most dominate gender in Jamaica in the 2010.
